An important part of our team working efforts is focused on R&D.
We create tools and powerful libraries to meet the needs of innovation and performance that we think are necessary to avoid restraining our creativity during the development of our games.
uEngine
uEngine is the name of the internal platform that we created and that we use to develop games.
Technically uEngine is a collection of static libraries corresponding to approximately 220 000 lines of robust and highly optimized C and ARM assembler code covering most of the necessary functionalities to create a “next-gen” mobile game.

ARWiz
ARWiz is our mobile augmented reality library, we created it from scratch after evaluating the performance of open-source solutions, which left us disappointed.
Our AR technology is still evolving, but ARWiz already boasts some interesting features, including:
- Algorithms designed to take into account the constraints of the ARM architecture
- Ultra fast: 1 ms to 5 ms maximum of processing on a Smartphone
- Subpixel precision during the marker detection
- Optimized calculations to avoid error propagation
- Great pose stability, which dismisses the need for a filter
- No external dependencies and a very compact code
Some technical demos are available on the blog, we are currently evaluating new designs for the marker, more info on this very soon…
